This vessel adopts the classic form of General Jar, equipped with a lid topped by a pearl knob. One side of the jar body depicts a mighty dragon roaming among auspicious clouds, while the reverse side features a spreading-wing phoenix, decorated with colourful cloud patterns in varied bright hues. Ruyi cloud motifs run along the neck, and stylized lotus petal patterns encircle the lower portion near the base. An underglaze red circular mark reads "Made in Chenghua Period of Great Ming Dynasty". The dragon and phoenix decoration symbolises auspicious union. With well-proportioned, full shape and vivid painted ornamentation, it is excellent for interior display and collection.
